The Golden State Warriors should be active in the next few days, and here’s how we predict the February 6 deadline playing out.

Willie Cauley-Stein was the start of the brewing storm that is the NBA’s trade deadline. While that was the first trade, there should be many that are on the horizon with at least a couple involving the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors have the pieces to trade and every motive to trade them. Dead last in the Western Conference, the Warriors currently only have ten wins, an unfamiliar place after five straight NBA Finals appearances.

After signing a myriad of veterans this offseaosn, the initial goal was to have them help keep the team afloat until Klay Thompson’s return. Well, an injury to Stephen Curry in the fourth game of the season changed all that.

D’Angelo Russell has also missed several weeks with numerous injuries this season. That’s combined to put the Warriors well out of playoff position. That means that the veterans they signed can now easily be traded with many negative side effects.

That said, the Warriors may make multiple transactions, but let’s see what’s actually likely and predict how the next few weeks will pan out in the Bay Area.
