Glenn Robinson III is dealt

If one veteran is almost a surefire trade target on other team’s boards, it’s forward Glenn Robinson III. According to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, the Sixers have shown interest in Robinson III, and that makes perfect sense.

More from Blue Man Hoop

"“The Sixers have expressed interest in a long list of wings, including Malik Beasley (Nuggets), Glenn Robinson III (Warriors), Davis Bertans (Wizards), E’Twaun Moore (Pelicans), and Andre Iguodala (Grizzlies), according to multiple league sources.”"

Robinson is having a career-year in Golden State. On a veteran’s minimum salary, he’s more than doubled his previous career-high in points per game, topping over 12 per game. Combine that with his three-point shooting, and it’s obvious why the Sixers would have an interest.

It’s not just the Sixers who should be looking into Robinson though. He’s averaging 1.4 threes per game on 39% from deep. For any playoff-contending team, having that type of production would be ideal, especially on a team’s second unit.

On a one-year contract, Robinson would be a free agent regardless, so the Warriors might as well look to secure a few second-round picks for rising forward. Other teams should find value in him as the deadline nears.
