Stephen Curry has hit yet another speedbump in his recovery for the Golden State Warriors.

Healing is always a frustrating process. For Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, a four-month-long hand injury is not what they had hoped for this season.

Curry has been sidelined ever since October when he fractured his left hand following an unfortunate play in which Phoenix Sun’s center, Aaron Baynes, landed on Curry’s hand. The 260-pound big man clearly did some damage as Curry is still waiting to be cleared for a return to the court.

It was reported that Curry is targeting early March for his appearance. However, recent statements from the Warriors imply that nothing is certain and the two-time MVP will simply be evaluated in four weeks.

This has fans questioning the Warriors’ decisions. Is Curry really still recovering from a broken hand? Or is the team simply milking this injury to lose as many games as possible in order to increase their chance of winning the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery?

Nobody seems to know for sure. While fractured hands usually heal within three weeks, there is no telling how Curry’s rehabilitation process has gone and if there is a reason for him to be sidelined longer than the normal time.

One thing is for certain, Curry is eager to get back on the court. It can’t be easy for a competitor such as Steph to sit back and watch as his team falls to the worst record in the NBA after competing in the NBA Finals for five straight seasons.

The truth is, Curry is doing what he should be by prioritizing his own health before jumping back onto the court. The Warriors are loading up to go all-out next season for another title run. None of that will be possible if Curry rushes himself back before he is truly ready.
