Glenn Robinson III to Philadelphia

The Philadelphia 76ers have expressed interest in Glenn Robinson III, an article by The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor noted almost a month ago. What is interest means or if it’s still there remains unknown as little credible rumors have provided more on the topic.

What we do know is that it’s easy to understand why the Sixers would be quintessential trade partners for Golden State. The top reason is that the Sixers need help spacing the court as their two superstars either don’t shoot threes or aren’t overly proficient from deep.

Robinson III, on the other hand, is similar to Tobias Harris. He can space the floor, play both ends of the court, and doesn’t need the ball in his hands to make plays. That’s what makes Robinson III so special.

On a veteran’s minimum contract, Robinson III is alluring to teams because he’s making under $3 million, allowing teams with little cap space a way to improve. For Golden State, they’ll be wanting, hopefully, at least two second-round picks.

Nearing 40% from downtown while scoring over 12 points per game, Robinson III has resurrected his career in Golden State, and his time may almost be over as teams should be calling out his availability.
