Alec Burks to Utah
Back to the team that drafted him, the Utah Jazz should look into trading for Alec Burks. Burks would provide a consistent scoring threat that their second unit has been void of so far this season.
The 6-foot-6 small forward spent over seven years in Utah.
A lottery pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, Burks struggled to stay on the court although he was able to consistently average double figures. With Golden State, he’s again proving that he can score, averaging over 16 points per game on the last-place Warriors.
Burks should be worth a first-round pick. The idea is that Robinson is the lesser valued of the two and that teams should really only inquire about Burks if they’re willing to pay that relatively steep price.
In terms of bench scoring, the Jazz are a bottom-five team. They rely heavily on their starting cast led by Donovan Mitchell. That said, they need that consistent force for cheap, and Burks could and should be the answer.
