The Golden State Warriors shouldn’t trade D’Angelo Russell, but the New York Knicks could put together a couple undeniably trade packages.

There’s a new contender in the race for D’Angelo Russell, and it’s the New York Knicks. However, as it currently stands, the New York Knicks aren’t offering near as much as the Golden State Warriors would want for Russell.

Russell is averaging 23.8 points per game and was snubbed of a spot in the All-Star for the second straight season. At only 23 years old and under contract for the next three years, any team intrigued at the idea of Russell needs to come with a blockbuster offer.

Here’s what Brandon Robinson, a writer for Heavy.com, reported a few days ago.

Thinking about Russell’s value in a combination of players that are currently on one of the worst teams in the East is an interesting concept. What’s he truly worth as an isolation-scoring 23-year-old point guard?

It’s tough to say, but it should be obvious by now that the Warriors are not just going to trade him away for little return. That said, let’s dive into three potential trades between the New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors.
