The Golden State Warriors were part of three transactions as the February 6 NBA deadline passed. It did not disappoint the league’s drama-crazed fans.

It was a crazy deadline for the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors were involved in three deals this trade season.

For starters, they kicked it off by sending center Willie Cauley-Stein to the Dallas Mavericks. They were able to get a second-round pick back, setting a tone for the return teams were looking at for veterans.

Their next trade was similar.

They dealt Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III to the Philadelphia 76ers for three more second-round picks. That’s now four second-round picks heading to Golden State for three expiring contracts, the exact return that Golden State was hopeful to receive.

The next was one the blockbuster, the one that not many expected to see come across their phones or computers.

D’Angelo Russell, Jacob Evans III, and Omari Spellman were dealt to Minnesota for Andrew Wiggins, a second-round pick and the Wolves’ 2021 top-3 protected first-round pick. Russell was not expected to be dealt.

Those were the trades; now let’s quickly breakdown three thoughts about them.
