Never were able to truly evaluate fit

The Golden State Warriors brought Russell in and had little idea of how the fit would be with him beside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Well, they shipped him to Minnesota and still have little idea of his true potential with this team.

Many don’t think Russell could be a centerpiece on a championship contender. That’s fine to believe, but at the end of the day, the trio could have thrived with the immense three-point shooting and spacing.

We’ll never know now.

Russell is an isolation-heavy player. So is Curry. Curry thrives in the pick-and-roll and dominates off the ball. Either way, he’s typically the center of the team’s offense while Thompson plays a close second fiddle.
