The Golden State Warriors need to already be focusing on the 2020 free agency period. Here are three names to keep an eye on.

There’s no denying the Golden State Warriors have already started to plan for the future. Even their most recent blockbuster trade, dealing D’Angelo Russell for Andrew Wiggins and picks, shows their mindset.

The worst team in the Western Conference, the Warriors want to get ahead of the curve as far as team personnel goes. Well, Andrew Wiggins is a good fit, and they’ll see Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson return to full strength.

Draymond Green is also a lock to be in the Bay at the start of next season. Then, the team will also get some help as the Warriors could have the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Given the way the lottery can unfold, they should be looking at at least have a top-five pick.

The team will be tight on cap space heading into the 2020 free agency period, so it’s unreasonable to think they’ll be bringing in more of the league’s biggest names. However, there is potential for Golden State to add valuable assets.

That said, let’s dive into three players they should target in 2020.
