2020 NBA Free Agency: 3 low-cost targets for the Golden State Warriors
Joe Harris
Currently on the Brooklyn nets, Joe Harris is a sharpshooting expert. While he averages only 13.7 points per game, Harris’ value comes in his 2.4 threes per game, shooting over 40% from downtown.
Harris led the league in three-point field goal percentage last season, connecting on over 45% of his attempts. If you ask a Golden State team with Curry, Thompson, Green, Wiggins and maybe James Wiseman what they could use more of, it’d be shooting.
Returning to a league-altering small-ball lineup with Harris at the three and Green at the five would strike fear in opponent’s eyes. Sadly, Harris will likely be outside of their price range, potentially finding an eight-figure deal on the market.
The Warriors will have exceptions to work with, potentially helping give them some wiggle room in their cap. That said, Harris is certainly the priciest free agent we suggest, but the fit as a dominant three-point shooter is there.
