Golden State Warriors: Eric Paschall dominates Rising Stars game

Golden State Warriors’ Eric Paschall put on a show, leading Team USA to a 151-131 victory over Team World in the Rising Stars game.

The Golden State Warriors, for the first time in over half a decade, don’t have much going on for All-Star weekend. There’s sadly no one in the All-Star game and the team doesn’t have a participant in the three-point shootout or dunk contest.

However, second-round pick and star forward Eric Paschall did represent the Bay Area, and he did very well. Although Golden State doesn’t need reassurance, Paschall’s potential stardom was put on full display.

Paschall was part of Team USA in the league’s Rising Stars game. He finished with 23 points on 10-for-13 shooting. While the defense was minimal as Team USA put up 151 points, it’s still telling of where he is with his peers.

Playing alongside players like Zion Williamson, Paschall was able to get some much-deserved spotlight. He was dunking, shooting and just overall being efficient, the trait that’s kept him on the court for the Warriors.

The 6-foot-6 Paschall has averaged 13.2 points per game this season. After spending half a decade at the college level, Paschall’s play has been a testament to how college can develop a player into one that’s capable at the next level.

On top of scoring, he’s averaging 4.7 rebounds per game and shooting over 48% from the field. Let’s just say Paschall has a bright future ahead of him, and he put his skill set on full display as the leader of the Team USA.

For Paschall, the real spotlight has yet to be shown. In the coming years, he’ll have the opportunity to take his game to the next level for a team that’ll play in meaningful games.

Then, and really only then, will we really see the potential of Paschall.
