The NBA’s annual All-Star Weekend just isn’t the same without the Golden State Warriors at the forefront.

The NBA’s All-Star Weekend is always a fun show filled with the greatest basketball talents in the world. This year, due to numerous injuries to some of the Golden State Warriors’ best players, the festivities have been missing some very special faces.

Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green will all miss the All-Star Game for the first time since the 2012-13 season. One of these three represented the Warriors in each of the last six seasons.

Thompson has been sidelined for nearly a year because of the torn ACL he suffered in the 2019 NBA Finals. Curry is expected to make his long-awaited return at the end of the month and Green has simply not played up to an All-Star level.

As a result, the weekend will come and go without an appearance from three of the league’s most iconic players. The Dubs big three revolutionized basketball and reigned terror over the basketball world for half of a decade.

Curry is such a fun player to watch in the All-Star Game. His incredible ball-handling skills and deep-range shooting made him one of the most exciting players each year. He had his most successful game in 2016 when he scored 26 points on 10-18 shooting.

Meanwhile, Thompson was must-see TV when competing in the 3-point contest. The Splash Brother lit up the 2016 competition, winning with a score of 27 and nailing his final eight shots.

It has been a sad season watching the Warriors struggle without the help of Curry and Thompson. Next year, we will once again watch this trio dominate the league as they climb back to the top of the NBA mountain.
