Aaron Gordon

From off a disappointing loss in the dunk contest, Aaron Gordon will return to the Orlando Magic, a fringe playoff contender. Even in the East, if the Magic make the playoffs, they’ll immediately get trampled by the Milwaukee Bucks.

With Gordon having his worst professional season, the Magic have turned away from using him as a primary offensive threat. Nikola Vucevic, Jonathan Issac, Markelle Fultz, Evan Fournier and others have stepped up into the spotlight.

Averaging 14.2 points per game down from 17.6 two seasons ago, Gordon has still yet to peak in the league. With his contract almost eight figures less than Wiggins, Gordon would’ve been a better addition for the team financially as well.

It’s tough to make sense of Gordon as a better scorer, but he is a better defender, as most are better than Wiggins in that category. However, the biggest part of Gordon over Wiggins is the $8 million they’d save and spend elsewhere.
