Wait no longer, Stephen Curry’s triumphant return to the flailing Golden State Warriors is imminent.

It’s been a grueling four months without Stephen Curry. The Golden State Warriors have not gone this long without their two-time MVP since the 2011-12 season but his return is on the horizon.

Today, Curry was finally cleared for full-contact practice for the first time since fracturing his hand in late October. This is a huge step forward for the rehabbing Curry and has everyone feeling optimistic about his targeted return date of March 1.

In the absence of their best player, the Warriors have gone 11-42 and are the worst team in the Western Conference. This is a drastic fall off for the reigning conference champions. In fact, it’s one of the biggest single-season drops in win-percentage of all-time.

The fact that Klay Thompson has been injured for the entire season certainly doesn’t help. Without either of the Splash Brothers and few other talents on the roster, it’s no wonder the Warriors have struggled.

Thankfully, their woes will be coming to an end soon. Curry won’t magically fix all of the team’s issues but he will have a major impact on their performance level.

Because of Steve Kerr, the Dubs haven’t abandoned the system that made them successful. The Warriors still lead the league in passes per game and will not miss a beat when adding Curry back into the lineup.

With a prolific scorer such as Steph running the show, the Warriors will skyrocket from their current rate of scoring. As of now, the Dubs score the 5th fewest points in the entire association.

Curry won’t have much of a chance to fix things this season. However, it’s important for him to knock some rust off and prepare for another title run next year. The best point guard in the NBA will be back on the court in no time.
