The Golden State Warriors are going to shape next season’s roster with much of their current one, and Marquese Chriss has been solidifying his spot on it.

The 6-foot-9, 22-year-old Marquese Chriss has thrived with the Golden State Warriors.

After initially signing with the Warriors to being waived and then signing a two-way deal just to find himself on the roster full-time following the trade deadline, Chriss has been through the works with the team yet continues to put his faith in the organization.

It’s because they believe in Chriss, and they give him an environment that allows him to play to his strengths.

Although he averaged more minutes per game in both his first and second season, Chriss is putting up career highs in several categories including rebounds, assists, and blocks.he’s also converting a career-high 54.3 percent of his field goals.

There are a few things that make Chriss an attractive option. For starters, the Warriors will likely be thin in their frontcourt. Secondly, Chriss has shown the ability to continue his development, increasing his efficiency and productivity.

The biggest part is that Steve Kerr and the coaching staff believe in him. Chriss has shown enough hard work that he’s earned that respect, and that will likely translate into how they view retaining him this offseason and what’s likely going to be a low-value deal.

Chriss was tossed into an organization with a recent history of losing to start his career. Now, he’s back on a losing team trying to find his footing to become a contributor on a team that matters. Well, nearing a career-high on 12-for-15 shooting matters for his long-term future.
