The Golden State Warriors lost to the Los Angeles Lakers and continue to be unwatchable. But, be patient because Stephen Curry’s return is imminent.

The original March 1 return date for Stephen Curry is seeming more and more unlikely. However, the Golden State Warriors’ two-time MVP is still expected to return this season, although the team just has 23 games remaining.

With just 12 wins, the Warriors are not in the playoffs race. They’re in a much more important race that will shape their future, the race for the top odds at the No. 1 overall selection. The Warriors need to finish in the bottom three.

They’re currently the league’s worst team.

Stephen Curry, who has been out since the fourth game of the season, is returning in the near future. That should be a positive for the Warriors and their fanbase, because, truth be told, he really has no business wasting his energy on a season that’s already gone.

After breaking his left hand, Curry left the Warriors in the hands of D’Angelo Russell and Draymond Green. Klay Thompson has been out since June with a torn ACL he sustained in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

As for Curry, he’s had injury history with his ankles as well as several other lingering issues.

That’s why there’s no need for him to return, but he obviously wants to play for Golden State. He enjoys representing his team on a nightly basis, and when you get down to it, Curry is just a baller and that’s what he wants to do.

The 6-foot-3, 31-year-old point guard has been the face of the franchise for the past decade. Bringing in two MVPs, Curry has helped hoist three championship banners. He owes nothing to Golden State, but he wants to continue to give what he has.

It’s encouraging to see Curry’s commitment to the team and him continuing to want to play for the Western Conference’s worst team.
