Embiid on the Warriors?

On the Warriors, Embiid would finally be the player Dub Nation hoped DeMarcus Cousins could’ve been. Ever since the dominance of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Golden State has been void of a dominant big man.

Cousins showed flashes of his former self but never strung together multiple weeks of dominance. That said, Embiid could give the Warriors that option but at what cost? Do they trade both picks and Wiggins?

That seems like a ransom for a king, and it’s tough to say that Embiid is the king that truly propels the Warriors into their next phase as an NBA powerhouse. Any combination involving Wiggins and either pick would be too easy for Golden State.

What’s the happy medium though? Could it be the 2020 pick, three second-round picks, potentially the ones they secured from Philadelphia for Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III, and Wiggins?

After all, Embiid has missed two entire seasons with injury and has played in just over 200 games although drafted in the 2014 NBA Draft. His value should be high, but it shouldn’t be at the level of Giannis or even Bradley Beal given his past injury history.
