The Golden State Warriors won their 13th game of the season, defeating the Phoenix Suns behind 25 points from second-round draft pick Eric Paschall.

On the road riding an eight-game losing streak, the Golden State Warriors found a way to get it done, and in doing so, virtually killed the Phoenix Suns playoff chances.

They defeated the Suns 115-99.

The Suns are now 22.5 games out of first place and 5.5 out of the eighth seed in the West. This loss was huge, and they needed to find a way to pull it out. Sadly, for Suns’ fans, they didn’t, and that likely killed any chance at the postseason.

This was just the Warriors’ second game of the calendar year holding a team to under 100 points. They were able to do so by limiting Suns’ All-Star guard Devin Booker, forcing him to shoot just 6-for-16 from the field.

On their side, it was Damion Lee and Eric Paschall that took their game to the next level. Paschall ended with a game-high 25 points, shooting 10-for-16 from the field. His efficiency and grit are what helped take the Warriors’ play to the next level.

It wasn’t just those two though.

The Warriors took it to the Suns behind a complete team effort. Seven of the eight players that stepped on the court for the Warriors scored in double figures which is a testament to how much this team plays with each other.

After all, if you watched the game and the previous few outings for Golden State, the one thing you can tell is that they play for each other despite being at the bottom of the Western Conference. You can also tell that by a +6 assist differential in favor of Golden State.

Dragan Bender‘s 13 points were also note-worthy. This could be his last true shot at an NBA career, and he’s taking full advantage of it, making three triples in this game. Bender, Chriss, Looney, Mulder, and Wiggins were the other five to notch double figures.

The Warriors will be at home against the Wizards today in a game that was supposed to be Stephen Curry‘s return. Now postponed, Curry’s return should be in the near future.
