player. G. Killian Hayes. 142. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. France. 9

The Washington Wizards have to cut their losses at some point and accept that John Wall is no longer going to be the face of their franchise.

Instead, they need to focus all of their energy on surrounding Bradley Beal with talent before they risk losing him due to frustration. Beal recently scored 50+ points in back-to-back losses.

Killian Hayes could be the release valve the Wizards need. A skilled bucket-getter, Hayes can offer support on the offensive end for Beal. He has a wide array of moves and is only 18 years old.

Of course, this means his game is extremely raw and underdeveloped. Hayes has a long way to go but has benefitted from playing against older competition in the Euro League. His transition to the NBA should be smooth.

The Wizards have every reason to take a chance on this young guard and hope for the best. Worst case scenario, they have to blow up the team and trade Beal for additional assets.
