NBA Draft 2020: Mock Draft for full lottery
By Tony Pesta
The Phoenix Suns began this season hot. Having an additional playmaker at the point guard position in Ricky Rubio paid dividends as Devin Booker had less pressure to create his own shot.
However, it didn’t take long for opponents to adjust. Rubio’s lack of scoring made it difficult for the Suns to maintain longterm success.
In order to fix this, the Suns need a point guard that can score and create plays. Enter Tyrese Haliburton, a sophomore at Iowa State.
Posting 15.2 points and 5.9 assists per game on 50/41/80 shooting splits, Haliburton is the perfect fit for Phoenix. Pairing him with Booker and De’Andre Ayton should be a recipe for success.
