Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors superstar shooting guard, gave an encouraging message to Dub Nation this past week.

The Golden State Warriors have had a tough season and will enter the last 20-plus games 13-48. Have no fear though as Klay Thompson is not giving up on this dynasty. Injured all season, Thompson has been getting shots up before games.

While he may have returned under different circumstances, the five-time All-Star should have no need to return with the Dubs firmly out of playoff position. After all, they’ve already officially retained their top-20 protected 2020 first-round pick which was traded to Brooklyn.

Thompson originally tore his ACL against the Raptors in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. He was on pace for his traditional Killa Klay Game 6, scoring 30 points in the first three quarters before being injured on an attempted dunk over shooting guard Danny Green.

It’s been tough to watch Thompson on the sideline, but he’s preparing to return even stronger. And, if you ask him, he’s not ready to call this dynasty over like the bulk of NBA fans are ready to do.

Here’s what Thompson said via Warriors Shop.

The original plan was for Thompson to return later in the season while the Warriors were about to enter the Western Conference playoffs with around a 6-8 seed. Thompson would be the spark to the team that boosted them back to the Finals for a sixth consecutive time.

However, it was Stephen Curry’s injury that killed that dream. Curry broke his left hand against the Suns in the fourth game of the season and has yet to return, brutally putting an end to the Warriors’ playoff aspirations.

Both Curry and Thompson will be healthy. They’ll have a top pick in the 2020 first-round pick, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins along with Eric Paschall to help return to dominance in the West.

With that group, Thompson may be right, and this dynasty may not be over.
