1. Improved team defense

Wait, scrawny Steph Curry makes the Warriors defense better? I say yes, and maybe not for the reasons that you think.

As an individual defender, many peg Curry as average at best, while Warriors fans will tend to be a little higher on his abilities.

Regardless, due to his limited size, he will never be locking down the best player on the opposing team.

What Curry does on the offensive end will actually be what improves the overall team defense.

The Dubs currently are one of the worst 3-point shooting and offensive rebounding teams, ranking bottom 5 in both.

Those plentiful long rebounds that the Warriors currently produce are getting rebounded by the defense at a nearly league high clip. Long rebounds lead to fast break and transition opportunities for the opponents — easy buckets.

By making more threes, the Warriors will actually help their defense by allowing their defenders to get set.

Having a true point guard in Curry will also surely cut down on the turnovers, another way to eliminate easy buckets for the opponent.
