The Golden State Warriors and their dedicated fanbase will finally see Stephen Curry return to the court tonight against the Toronto Raptors.

There’s no denying that the Golden State Warriors season has been tough. While part of it can be attributed to Stephen Curry’s injury, an even larger part rests on Klay Thompson’s shoulders as he’s also been out the entire season.

That said, we are bringing good news to your day.

Stephen Curry is returning.

According to a team accouncement, Curry will play against the Toronto Raptors, his first action since the fourth game of the season where a nasty fall resulted in a broken left hand.

Since then, the Warriors have played 58 games. For the season, they’ve won just 14 which is why some are surprised that Curry is even returning at all given that the playoffs are just a pipe dream at this point.

The two-time MVP was supposed to return to the lineup against the Wizards on March 1. That was postponed and he spent a practice with the Santa Cruz Warriors to ensure that his hand and conditioning was good to go for his first NBA action in months.

Prior to his injury, Curry was averaging 20.3 points and 6.5 assists per game. Sadly, due to Curry’s injury, the Warriors were never truly able to gauge his fit with star D’Angelo Russell.

As many of you know, the Warriors have since traded Russell for Andrew Wiggins. But, that brings us to an even bigger moment. How will Curry mesh with Wiggins and how will they be able to play off each other?

That will be one thing to watch along with the hopeful improving of Draymond Green who plays better with Curry on the court. That said, with the brand new Chase Center in the Bay Area, Curry should be greeted by a warm welcome in the team’s beautiful new arena.
