The Golden State Warriors must take these pros and cons into account before deciding to select James Wiseman in the 2020 NBA Draft.
On the surface, James Wiseman appears to be a no-brainer for the Golden State Warriors in the 2020 NBA Draft. Should he be available when the Dubs are on the clock, it makes sense for the franchise to buff their biggest position of need.
However, as we have seen time and time again throughout league history, drafting for your biggest need is not always better than drafting the best player available. This begs the question, is Wiseman the best player in his class?
Wiseman hasn’t given us much of a sample size to work with. The big man played in just three collegiate games before controversy halted his NCAA career. This means his performance in draft workouts will be key to his stock moving forward.
The 2020 NBA Draft has been considered weak by most analyses. This makes picking at the top spot a difficult task. Which player is worth betting your money on?
