Cons

It’s time to focus on the downsides. For James Wiseman, his offense is the biggest concern.

You wouldn’t be able to tell from looking at his stats. Wiseman scored nearly 20 points a game on 76.9 percent shooting in his three collegiate games. However, Wiseman is severely lacking in his offensive skill set.

He relies mostly on his size and athleticism. This has been enough for him to skate by against smaller opponents but won’t be a viable option in the NBA with the world’s greatest athletes surrounding him.

Wiseman needs to improve his touch around the rim, especially when being forced to use his off-hand. Furthermore, it would be huge if he is able to expand his range as he currently has no shot outside of five feet.

As for defense, Wiseman is still a raw prospect. He has shown a ton of potential but will need to prove he can adjust to a faster-paced game and defend at the highest level.
