Conclusion

The Golden State Warriors will be hard-pressed to find a better big man in the 2020 NBA Draft than James Wiseman.

Wiseman will bring it on the defensive end. He has been an elite rim protector at every stage of his career thus far and is likely to develop quickly in the NBA.

Of course, the situation he falls into will play a huge role in this. Joining the Warriors would be perfect for him as they have already established a winning culture. Playing alongside Draymond Green would certainly benefit Wiseman’s growth.

As the big men before him, Wiseman would serve as a rim runner for the Warriors. He would be asked to do no more other than block shots and catch lobs. This formula has helped players such as Kevon Looney and Marquese Chriss find success with the Dubs and should work for Wiseman too.

If drafting a center is their goal, the Warriors should look no further than Wiseman.
