Andrew Wiggins
The top overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft, Andrew Wiggins is still a work in progress.
While many harp on his defensive effort, Wiggins has consistently been able to produce on the offensive end and hasn’t proven to be a liability on the defensive end during his short stint in the Bay Area.
One of the key pieces in the trading landing D’Angelo Russell in Minnesota, Wiggins was brought in for his size and skill set. However, there’s no denying that given his contract the Warriors may look to deal the 25-year-old.
This season, Andrew Wiggins is averaging 21.8 points per game on 44.6% shooting. He is averaging a career-high 2.0 threes, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists to go with his high scoring numbers.
Put it together and you have a player competent enough to return a superstar when packaged with other valuable assets. That’s what Minnesota did, and there’s no reason to believe Golden State won’t do the same thing.
