The Golden State Warriors season has been a struggle, but overall it can be defined by horrific losing streaks that tanked their playoff aspirations.

With just 15 wins on the season, the Golden State Warriors have struggled to find consistent production from many of their players throughout the season. They’ve gone multiple games in a row without a victory, and those stretches of bad play have defined the Warriors season.

A ten, an eight and a seven-game losing streak has absolutely destroyed the Warriors chances at the postseason. In all reality, this team was built to make it to the postseason. It was Stephen Curry’s broken left hand in the fourth game of the season that changed everything.

Curry’s presence throughout the entirety of the season was the difference between the Warriors having just 15 wins and them currently being a .500 team with hopes of making the playoffs and then watching Klay Thompson return to potentially help reach a sixth straight Finals appearance.

That was the initial goal for this season, but it was instantly torn down. Then, on top of Curry’s injury, D’Angelo Russell was Draymond Green have both missed extended periods of time.

However, at the end of the day, it was the three streaks that have Golden State already looking towards the offseason. After all, had those just not counted, the Warriors would be at 15-22. Sadly, you can’t just rule out 27 losses.

At the very least, had the team had Curry for the other 27 games, they’d have won at least half. They would’ve been in contention for the 8th seed in the West if Curry would’ve remained healthy or returned after just a short stint.

But, that’s just not how the season went, and the Warriors are starring down the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft with the potential addition of James Wiseman. Add a star 7-foot-1 center, and this team will easily return to championship contention.
