Marquese Chriss

The California native has jumped around the league over the years, as he has played for the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and now the Golden State Warriors. Hopefully, for him, Chriss has found a place with the Warriors to finally settle down.

In his first season for the Warriors, Marquese Chriss has been an asset to this struggling Golden State Warriors team. The 2016- 2017 All-Rookie team member, is averaging 9.3 points per game for the Warriors.

In the most recent game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Chriss put up 10 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists. The starter played 27 minutes and was 3-5 on field goals. Despite Chriss’ efforts, the Warriors still ended up falling to the Clippers 131-107.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr also thinks highly of Chriss, “Marquese has been great. It’s been a season-long development and growth. He’s, I think, establishing himself as a key player going forward.”

The 22-year-old has been shooting 54.5% from the field, almost a ten percent jump from his time spent with the Phoenix Suns where he shot 43.8%.

Though he has spent most of his career shuffling around the league, Chriss may finally be hitting his stride with the Golden State Warriors, maybe even enough to call it home for the upcoming 2020-2021 season.
