DJ Augustin

As you can tell, the Golden State Warriors will be short on backcourt depth. Jordan Poole and Damion Lee can help take over behind Klay Thompson, but the Warriors will need to give Ky Bowman help behind Curry.

DJ Augustin would be the perfect player to take charge of the second unit’s backcourt.

Augustin, who is currently on the Magic, is a 32-year-old point guard. He is currently averaging 10.4 points per game while shooting 34.5% from downtown and notching 1.2 three pointers per game.

His shooting has dropped significantly from last season, but Augustin is still a proven veteran that has put up over ten points per game over the last three consecutive seasons. He’s also averaging 4.6 assists per game.

A cheap addition, there’s no reason that Augustin wouldn’t help what could be one of the league’s lowest-scoring units.
