The Golden State Warriors are looking at different prospects in the 2020 NBA Draft and Obi Toppin may be the biggest sleeper.

It’s a strange time in the NBA. Although we have no idea when the 2020 NBA Draft will occur, we can still speculate on potential prospects the Golden State Warriors could select. One of the more surprising prospects this year is Obi Toppin.

As we know, the 2019-20 NBA season has been put on hold until further notice as the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has frozen the sports world. The future of the season is uncertain but there is no doubt that basketball comes second to this worldwide issue.

Like many other events, the NCAA’s annual March Madness Tournament has been canceled. This means we won’t get another chance to watch these top prospects play before the NBA Draft.

This is a good time to reflect on Toppin’s sophomore season with Dayton. Last year, he broke out as a surprising talent. This year, he took his game to new heights and solidified himself as a lottery pick.

Though the Warriors are tied for the best odds to win the NBA Draft Lottery there is also a chance they fall out of the top three. Because of this, they should keep their eyes on potential sleeper picks like Toppin. Here are the pros and cons of Toppin’s game.
