Golden State Warriors: 3 reasons the team’s future is in good hands
Thriving rookies
At the beginning of the season, Eric Paschall took this team by storm. His pace and his efficiency were recognized not only by coaches but also by teammates. He was easily the league’s most competent second-round pick.
Paschall is averaging 14.0 points per game on 49.7% shooting. He’s good at cutting and also has a very solid basketball IQ, oftentimes making the best possible decision in that moment, one reason his percentages are elite for a power forward.
However, Paschall isn’t the only rookie that’s seen immense success.
Jordan Poole, the team’s 2019 first-round pick, has started to thrive as well. Once relegated to the team’s G-League affiliate, Poole has since been recalled and has found his groove with the Warriors.
While Poole is still averaging single digits per game, he has managed to notch ten or more points in 12 of his last 13 games and has hit at least 10 in every game he’s played at least 20 minutes in throughout that stretch.
Better yet, he’s shooting 47% and showing solid playmaking features. Both Poole and Paschall are reasons to assume the future is bright.
