A superstar core

It all started with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompon. Then came along one of the most awarded second-round picks of all-time in Draymond Green. Those three make up the Warriors core, and they have since added Andrew Wiggins as well.

Those four will lead the Warriors during the 2020-2021 season, but it’s so much more than just leading the Warriors into battle. It’s about their relationship with much of the league, one reason they were able to bring in Kevin Durant for those three league-reigning seasons.

Thompson and Curry have earned the league’s respect, and they’ll continue to develop the next generation of players in the Bay.

The core is what will continue to boost them well into the future. All three are around the 28-to-32-year-old range, and they still have at least three or four more seasons in their prime which is terrific to hear for Warriors’ fans.

The core is what makes the short-term future bright.
