2011

Klay Thompson, the eleventh overall draft pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, single-handedly made that draft one of the top ones for the Warriors.

Unfortunately, the 2019-2020 season was a bust for Thompson as he was out for the whole year due to his torn left ACL which he sustained in the 2019 NBA Finals.

Just because he was out this season though, doesn’t mean he hasn’t been highly valuable to the Warriors in his eight seasons with them. He was even awarded a brand new max-value contract this past offseason.

Thompson has held the honor of playing in the All-Star Game in the past five consecutive seasons. He has also been awarded four All-League awards including All-Rookie, All-NBA, and All-Defensive team nominations.

In his career with the Warriors, Thompson has averaged 19.5 points per game and shot 45.9% from the field.

While Thompson may not be the most powerful player on his own, he has proven to be quite the power-house when combined with players like Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Thompson has been the perfect fit for this Warriors’ team and has been a critical part of their dynasty.
