Pick Analysis. G. New Zealand. player. 69. Scouting Report. R.J. Hampton. 13

R.J. Hampton was one of the most coveted prospects coming out of high school. After a brief season overseas, many seem to have forgotten about the talented guard.

Hampton is big for his position. Standing at 6’5″ but having all of the skills of a guard, Hampton will be a great running partner for Lonzo Ball in the New Orleans Pelicans backcourt.

In the NBL, Hampton posted underwhelming averages of 8.8 points and 3.9 rebounds. Still, his potential as a shot creator is enough to keep him in the lottery for most scouts. If everything goes right, Hampton can turn into a pure scorer for the Pelicans.
