The New York Knicks have been scrambling to find a franchise player. While R.J. Barrett has shown signs down the stretch of his rookie season, it’s clear the Knicks have a long way to go before being competitive again.

One player that can help with this is rising star Onyeka Okongwu. He has been skyrocketing up the rankings as he finished his freshman season averaging 16.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.7 blocks.

Okongwu has been one of the biggest surprises in the NCAA this year and looks as if he can be a force in the NBA. The Knicks wouldn’t be risking much by taking a chance on this 19-year-old prospect.
