There are many ideal replacements

Two major targets that many thought the Golden State Warriors may target this past offseason and even throughout the season as it became more clear that Russell wasn’t a long-term fit were Robert Covington and Jerami Grant.

There’s a reason for why they should both be at the top of the list in terms of targets, and it’s their defensive intensity that matches their elite three-point shooting.

Covington ranks in the top-15 in deflections per game while also averaging 1.6 steals and .9 blocks per game. As for Grant, he averaged .7 and .8 respectively but shoots 40% from downtown. Both are what the Warriors truly crave at the three.

Also, their lack of need on the offensive end would make them an ideal addition. It’s not to say that Wiggins in Golden State wouldn’t work out, but there is ample reason why the team should continue to shift their lineup.
