Marquese Chriss

Signed then cut then re-signed to a different contract, the Golden State Warriors may like Marquese Chriss on the roster, but they may not need his services next season.

With the potential addition of James Wiseman, the Warriors should be fine in the frontcourt. Kevon Looney will return healthy and Wiseman, a potential top draft pick, would be the perfect fit alongside Curry and Thompson.

Chriss is young, and he was solid this season. In 59 games, 21 of which he started, Chriss averaged a career-high 9.3 points per game.

The 22-year-old former lottery pick has a team that believes in him. That could unlock his full potential, but they’ve already paid Kevon Looney, and if he wants anything over a minimum-value contract, the Warriors will likely move on.

They’ll solidify their frontcourt, and it’ll be interesting to see if Chriss is still there come training camp. He’s certainly a player they could move on from this offseason.
