Andrew Wiggins

The Golden State Warriors and Andrew Wiggins are by far a better fit than the Warriors and D’Angelo Russell. While Wiggins would easily be playing for the team next season, they should have every intention to again flip the forward this offseason.

Drafting a player like Anthony Edwards could easily replace him while also bringing in a bargain of a contract. The team needs cap space. They need depth. They do not need an inefficient defender that isn’t overly great at scoring without initiating the offense himself.

Yes, I watched the game, and it seems difficult to believe that Wiggins will be a great, 20 points per game scorer alongside Curry and Thompson. He’d have to dig in defensively and work on his three-point shooting.

While his market is unknown, securing the cap space for free agency should be just as important as bringing Wiggins back for another run with Golden State. The Warriors need depth and additional shooting, not necessarily a Wiggins-type player, to learn their role players.

That said, all three could be back, but it’s at least possible that none of the three return for next season.
