Anthony Edwards

Considered to be the No. 1 prospect by many, Anthony Edwards, a superstar phenom from Georgia, should be at the top of Golden State’s big board for a slew of reasons.

While he does have a much lower floor than both Avdija and Toppin, he has superstar potential, something it’s difficult to see in the other two. During his brief season at Georgia, although he led one of the worst teams in the SEC, it was easy to see his sky-high potential.

Edwards averaged 19.1 points and over two threes per game. While his efficiency is an issue, he’d likely be able to develop into a better shooter while with Golden State. That said, what sets him apart is his elite-level athleticism.

Edwards can soar. He can also get buckets, two things needed to be considered at No. 1. Having notched 33 in a half, Edwards was inconsistent during his lone collegiate seasons, but he showed enough potential for his draft stock to rise all the way to the top.

There’s still a good bit to digest with Edwards’ game, but for now, he should be the clear No. 1 pick.
