Mike Muscala

A part of the Lakers and Sixers last season and now a forward for the OKC Thunder, Mike Muscala has journeyed around the league since his stint with the Atlanta Hawks, the longest of his career.

At his best, Muscala averaged 7.6 points per game. That’s not great, obviously. But, you have to consider on thing — Muscala has never been a consistent starter throughout his seven-year career.

The skill to be a high-profile scoring option isn’t there. But, he could be a competent center for Golden State.

Averaging 1.0 threes per game this season in 12 minutes of play, Muscala has played an important part in Oklahoma City’s resurrection since losing both Paul George and Russell Westbrook. Muscala, for the 2016-2017 season, shot over 40% from deep.

Muscala has a $2.28 million player option this coming offseason, but if he could seek a veteran’s minimum with Golden State, that may be the better move.

Having been to the playoffs four times and out of the first round twice, Muscala has the experience it takes to be a contributor off the bench at the most important level.
