The Golden State Warriors could have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, and here’s who they should trade down to acquire.

The Golden State Warriors are not your traditional top-five pick team. Most teams are coming off a season where they had absolutely nothing go right, and that pick is an essential key to future success.

Although the Warriors were 15-50 with just 17 games remaining, there was hope.

After all, you have to consider who they didn’t have this season that they will have next year. It’s almost like if the Brooklyn Nets didn’t have Kyrie Irving and finish as a bottom-five team but were also returning Kevin Durant.

It would be that situation just lived out with the Golden State Warriors.

The team’s two dynamic guards, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson played less than ten combined games last season, and if that happens in any given season for a team’s two highest-paid players, you can bank on a struggle.

Given how different they are, they may have the desire to trade back in the lottery, not truly needing their franchise star.

They could take a risk on a player they view has equal potential while also bringing in another first-round pick, increasing their 2021 total to three.

That said, here are three players the Warriors should trade for if they are awarded the No. 1 overall pick and don’t feel Anthony Edwards is their next superstar forward.
