The Golden State Warriors have an important season approaching. How much better will the Dubs be next year?

It was an odd year for the Golden State Warriors. Nobody expected them to be the same powerhouse they were in years before with Kevin Durant gone and a hobbled Klay Thompson but it was difficult to predict such an abrupt fall off.

The Dubs may have had a strong chance at reaching the playoffs had Stephen Curry not fractured his hand early in the season. Without their top three players from last year, the Warriors recorded the biggest single-season drop in win percentage of all-time.

This hasn’t stopped the font office from working diligently for the future. They struck gold in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft by selecting Rising Star Eric Paschall. The versatile forward has been a pleasant surprise thus far.

Furthermore, the franchise flipped D’Angelo Russell for a young star that fits much better. Andrew Wiggins has a lot to prove but should be revitalized with a new opportunity in Golden State.

The Splash Brothers will reunite next season and prepare for another title run. Alongside them will be Draymond Green who is coming off one of the worst seasons of his career. It will be interesting to see how this trio responds to their biggest adversity yet.

Their supporting cast won’t be as strong as it used to be but they have more experience than ever before. Curry will have to increase his usage with Durant gone and understand that the key to this team’s success runs through him.

dark. Next. 3 Players the Warriors could trade back for

This is a challenge that the two-time MVP should be ready for. The league has forgotten about the Warriors and this should serve as all the motivation in the world. We can expect a full-on revenge tour for the Dubs next season.
