7. Paul George – 2010

Paul George was a late bloomer. Selected 10th overall, PG spent most of his rookie season on the bench for Indiana. By his third season in the league, he had won the Most Improved Player Award and reached his first of five All-Star Games.

Currently, George is one of the best two-way players the NBA has to offer. He is elite on both ends of the floor and will be looking to help the LA Clippers when their first title this season.

Who did the Warriors draft over George in 2010? Epke Udoh. The 6’10” center played less than two seasons in Golden State before being traded. For his seven-year career, Udoh averaged just 3.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

A young core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Paul Goerge would have been a game-changer for the Warriors back in the earlier 2010s. Thankfully, the Dubs managed to build a dynasty regardless.
