The Golden State Warriors seemingly would rather trade down in the draft if awarded the No. 1 pick, but who would be a capable suitor?

There’s no denying the 2019-2020 season was tough for the Golden State Warriors. They were just 15-50 with 17 games remaining when the season was suspended due to COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus.

But, the Warriors did have a few silver linings to their otherwise forgetting season. One of those was the development of young, up-and-coming players.

Eric Paschall, who averaged 14 points per game, and Jordan Poole, who notched double figures in 12 of his last 13, both came on at different points in the season and showcased enough potential to retain their roster spot for next season.

On top of that, the Warriors have officially retained their 2020 first-round pick, an asset that they protected 1-20. After trading it to the Brooklyn Nets in a deal that brought in D’Angelo Russell, the Warriors will bring it home by being the worst team in the NBA.

Now, not only will have role players for next season, they’ll have a top-tier pick to add to that. Seemingly wanting to move back in the draft, the Warriors should have ample opportunity to find a possible suitor, but at what price is the real question.

Who will be the highest bidder? Well, let’s dive into three teams who would make quintessential trade partners for the Golden State Warriors.
