The Golden State Warriors have had one crazy ride over the last half a decade, and it could’ve been even better if these what-if scenarios were a reality.

There’s no denying this season has left a distaste in the Golden State Warriors’ mouths. After all, they went from five straight NBA Finals appearances to easily the worst team in the Western Conference.

While much of that can be attributed to injury, there shouldn’t be a single Warriors fan that would’ve had the past half a decade any different. This team has given us some of basketball’s most memorable moments.

With a bright future ahead, the Warriors will potentially have the top pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. On top of that, they’ll have their Big 3 (Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green) locked up for the foreseeable future.

Along with the several silver linings to this otherwise forgettable season, the Warriors should be primed to make a run for yet another NBA Championship in 2021. With the NBA currently in limbo, the immediate future is in murky waters.

As the league’s suspended and without a concrete plan of returning anytime soon, it’s time take a look back on three major what-if scenarios that could’ve altered both the Golden State Warriors past and future.
