4. (2015) Breaks out of NBA Finals shooting slump

The 2015 NBA Finals were shakey for Stephen Curry. Following his first MVP season and a great run through the Western Conference, the Dubs were hit in the mouth by Cleveland early in the series.

Once Kyrie Irving fell with a broken knee cap late in Game 1, most had assumed the series was a wrap. Then, LeBron James put on his superhero cape and dominated for two straight games to take a 2-1 lead over the Dubs.

Most notably, Matthew Dellavedova stepped up and put the clamps to Curry for a moment. In Game 2, Curry shot just 2-for-15 from the 3-point line as Delly became the unsung hero.

Down the stretch of Game 3, Curry broke out of his shooting slump in a strong way. Curry drilled four 3-pointers in the final minutes and almost stole the game from Cleveland. Many assumed that allowing this mini-heat check from Curry would go on to cost the Cavaliers the championship and they were right.

In Game 4, Curry shot much better from the field and led the Warriors to a 21-point victory. Then, in a decisive Game 5, the MVP went off for 37 points and drilled dagger after dagger over Delly.

Over the course of the final three games of the series, Curry averaged 28.0 points on 45.2 percent shooting from deep and 49.2 percent from the field.
