Every day, we receive more and more hints that Giannis Antetokounmpo might be joining the Golden State Warriors soon.

Where there is smoke, there is usually fire. NBA Players tend to be careful about everything they say nowadays and everything is done deliberately. The league should be on high alert every time Giannis Antetokounnmpo gives an indication he wants to play with the Golden State Warriors.

It all began during the All-Star break. The internet nearly broke when cameras caught Stephen Curry telling Giannis “Let’s do it.” The two MVPs have since explained they were talking about something else but the speculation is still there.

Then, most recently, Antetokonmpo chose to play with the Warriors for a game of NBA 2K20. As he chose his team, Giannis proclaimed “the OG is back” when seeing Curry as the Dubs featured player.

This goes along with a previous statement from Giannis in which he mentioned Curry twice when talking about his favorite players in the association. Whether these comments mean anything or not is up for debate but it certainly tells us how much admiration the reigning MVP has for Curry.

Giannis will be eligible to hit the free agency market next summer. Though he has a seemingly comfy home in Milwaukee right now, failure to win a title in the next two seasons could push him out the door.

Giannis understands that winning a championship is the fastest way to be considered an all-time great. This means leaving the team that drafted him might be his only option if they can’t provide him with enough help.

The Warriors have a better supporting cast than the Bucks already on the roster and are ready to do whatever it takes to open up enough cap space to land the Greek Freak. As the rumors continue to swirl, watch out for a real possibility that Giannis finds his way to the Bay Area by 2021.
