Backup shooting guard

Damion Lee, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole will be the team’s three options at shooting guard.

While that’s not awful, the Warriors could use a defensive-minded player to come in and play sparing minutes, helping give the team stability on that end of the court.

Lee and Poole both are just not as physical defensively as the team could need, and they’re both consistently inconsistent. However, the team will retain them as they both did churn out solid performances throughout the season.

As for Poole, he came on later in the season, scoring double figures in 12 of the team’s last 13 games. As for Lee, he was solid all season long, earning a guaranteed contract after starting the season on a two-way deal.

The offense is there behind Thompson. The defense isn’t, and the Warriors could opt to bring in a player they dealt earlier this season, Glenn Robinson III. He’d be the perfect backup and give quality minutes behind Thompson.

The Warriors revived his career, and now he could play on the championship team he thought he signed up for this past offseason.
