3. Obi Toppin

Last year, Obi Toppin was the biggest surprise in the NCAA. An under-recruited prospect, Toppin has since bloomed into a projected top 10 pick and has a legit case as the most developed player in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Toppin is older than most players in his class. At 22 years of age, Toppin wouldn’t even be the youngest member of the current Golden State Warriors. While this would be a notable issue for most teams selecting in the lottery it is actually a benefit to the Dubs.

Usually, the goal of drafting a top prospect would be to watch that player develop into a star. For the Warriors, they simply just need a player that can fit in right away and be productive. This is exactly what Toppin can do.

Toppin is a pure shooter from deep and has reliable athleticism for his size. He is a bit flat-footed on defense but will hopefully make up for it with his offensive capabilities. Toppin is a pretty safe option for the Warriors to consider.
